Swimming and Hydrotherapy

Swimming is a great way to encourage young people with complex needs to exercise, have fun and learn confidence in the water. Swimming and hydrotherapy give a freedom of movement as the buoyancy of water reduces the effects of gravity, poor balance and poor postural control. Our clients will become more confident due to achievements made in the water. As they develop the ability to move and enjoy the water, their self-awareness and self- esteem will also improve. Future Horizons has access to a shallow hydrotherapy pool at least 3 times a week.
